1 year Post-graduate Course in the Lofoten Islands, Norway

Course Content and Structure

This is a full time post-graduate course of study based on six one-week sessions arranged throughout the year in Sørvågen, Lofoten Islands, Norway.

Applicants can choose between two different approaches to the course:

Group 1. Students spend the year as residents of Sørvågen, Lofoten Islands, and base their projects work on relevant local issues.

Group 2. Students rendezvous in Sørvågen, Lofoten Islands, six times during the year to take part in the series of six one-week theory sessions, but may be resident elsewhere. Students opting for this non-resident approach are at liberty to do project work based on other local communities if they so desire.

Course Units and Progression:

Theoretical components and practical project work will be adapted to a variety of issues and local communities, bringing to light the significance that tourism has on developments in society in general.
