The photo was taken from Einangen, overlooking Bunesfjorden, Vinstad
and - in the distance- the village of Reine i Lofoten. There are two modern,
well-equipped camping cabins for hire in Bunesfjorden - Vinstad feriehus.
From here there is a path over the Einangen pass to the deserted settlement of Bunes on the outer coast of the island. Bunes is a fantastic place - majestic and serene - with a long white, sandy beach. There are still a few inhabitants left in Vinstad. They make a living from, amongst other things, sheep and vegetable farming.
